How to Configure Google Chat Notifications
Step 1: Create a Webhook in Google Chat
- Open Google Chat and navigate to the Space where you want alerts
- Click the Space name → Manage webhooks
- Click Add another or Create webhook
- Name it (e.g., "Xitoring Alerts") and optionally add an avatar URL
- Copy the Webhook URL
Step 2: Create a Notification Role in Xitoring
- Log in to your Xitoring Dashboard
- Go to Settings → Notification Roles
- Click Create New Role
- Name it (e.g., "Google Chat Alerts")
Step 3: Add Google Chat Channel
- Click Add Contact in the notification role
- Select Google Chat as the channel
- Paste the webhook URL
- Save
Step 4: Test
- Click Send Test and verify the message in Google Chat
