How to Configure Zapier Notifications
Step 1: Create a Zap in Zapier
- Log in to your Zapier account
- Click Create Zap
- Choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger
- Select Catch Hook as the trigger event
- Copy the Webhook URL provided by Zapier
Step 2: Create a Notification Role in Xitoring
- Log in to your Xitoring Dashboard
- Go to Settings → Notification Roles
- Click Create New Role
- Name it (e.g., "Zapier Automation")
Step 3: Add Zapier Channel
- Click Add Contact in the notification role
- Select Zapier as the channel
- Paste the Zapier webhook URL
- Save
Step 4: Configure the Zapier Action
- Send a test alert from Xitoring to capture the payload
- In Zapier, configure the Action step (e.g., create a Jira ticket, send a Teams message, update a Google Sheet)
- Test and turn on your Zap
