Setting Up a Channel
- Navigate to Settings → Notification Channels
- Click Add Channel
- Select the channel type
- Follow the setup wizard (each channel has specific configuration steps)
- Send a test notification to verify
Best Practices
- Use tiered notifications: Slack for warnings, SMS/phone for critical
- Create channel groups to notify multiple channels at once
- Set quiet hours to suppress non-critical notifications overnight
- Test channels monthly to ensure they're still working
