How to Configure Microsoft Teams Notifications
Step 1: Create an Incoming Webhook in Teams
- Open Microsoft Teams and navigate to the channel you want alerts in
- Click the ⋯ (More options) next to the channel name
- Select Connectors (or Manage channel → Connectors)
- Find Incoming Webhook and click Configure
- Name it (e.g., "Xitoring") and upload an icon if desired
- Click Create and copy the Webhook URL
Step 2: Create a Notification Role in Xitoring
- Log in to your Xitoring Dashboard
- Go to Settings → Notification Roles
- Click Create New Role
- Name it (e.g., "Teams Alerts")
Step 3: Add Microsoft Teams
- Click Add Contact in the notification role
- Select Microsoft Teams as the channel
- Paste the incoming webhook URL
- Save
Step 4: Test It
- Click Send Test
- Verify the alert card appears in your Teams channel
