Integration for Slack

Xitoring integration for Slack allows receiving alerts and notifications on your Slack channels and easily collaborate with your team. Please follow the steps accordingly to setup this integration.

  1. Login to your Xitoring account and navigate to the Notification Roles page.
  2. Select the notification role which you would like to bind to a Slack channel.
  3. Select Slack on the list and click on Add to Slack.
  4. Now you will be redirected to Slack for authorization.
  5. Click on Authorize.
  6. After authorization on Slack, you will be redirected to app.xitoring.com for Authorization of accessing your account. Click on Authorize to proceed.
  7. Now you should see a message Successfully Connected to Slack!.
  8. Open Slack and add Xitoring app to a channel. The easiest way to add an app is to mention @xitoring in a channel and add it.
  9. The bot asks you to select member access, and also a notification role to bind on the channel. If you select Write access all members in the channel could add incidents notes.
  10. After submitting you will see a message Channel access set successfully.
  11. Now on, you will receive incidents on your Slack channel!

It's recommended to use Send a test notification to make sure the integration is working properly. For any questions or concerns you can contact support@xitoring.com
